Seaspeed Marine Consulting - worldwide specialists in the technology of fast marine craft

Seaspeed Marine Consulting was established in 1990 by Stephen Phillips, an experienced naval architect and marine engineer, who has been closely involved in the development of the high speed craft industry in Europe, Australasia and the USA. Since that time Seaspeed has continued to specialise in the technology and safety of marine transportation, unmanned craft and offshore vessels and systems, serving a wide range of international and UK marine industry stakeholders. Due to unprecedented activity in these sectors, the Seaspeed business was acquired by Houlder Ltd in 2022. Seaspeed continues to offer the same, but expanded, range of services, now backed by the Houlder Group.

With offices based in Chichester, UK, our facilities include workshops for the preparation and maintenance of instrumentation and for ship scale model & marine system prototype build. We have access to a range of UK test facilities including towing tanks, a large manoeuvring basin and large shallow water basins and flumes.
