Seaspeed appointed technical representative for the design, build and operation of the 110 metre SJPII.

For the initial design verification, Seaspeed provided comprehensive performance assessments using CFD, computer simulation and free-running scale model powering, manoeuvring and seakeeping tests. The performance was subsequently verified at full scale during the sea trials and then during long term monitoring of the vessel performance (using the Seaspeed VMS - vessel monitoring system).

Technical support for the development of the specification and negotiation of the build contract was then provided at the request of the client..

Further to this, build oversight, Class negotiation and design information monitoring (drawings, weight estimates and equipment specification) was then provded over the cousre of the build, extending into sea trials and introduction into service.

Seaspeed continues to provide technical assistance for the operational phase of this vessel..
